I continue to talk about how there are so many opportunities right now for real estate investors, developers, and brokers. The best ones are the ones that bring a solution and/or solve a problem. Kudos to the Mayor of Boise ID for continuing her quest for “her city” to have plenty of walking space for the daily “10-minute walk”.
Her efforts over the years have brought green space and walking space to citizens. As the below linked article reminds us, she helped to get an $11 million levy passed several months ago despite the result of a $40 annual property tax increase for residents. Let’s face it. It is rare when more than 80% of the voters agree to a tax increase, no matter how slight.
Having a municipality supporting that effort can be a point of appeal for employers as well as residents and visitors. Some businesses welcome the opportunity, just as some potential residents might be more attracted to the river area. City officials must realize the potential economic gain for the area, which would increase property values.
Chances are you are not in or near Boise as you read this. This scenario is certainly not limited to Boise. There could be benefits by getting behind it where you work and live. All it takes is the right research to uncover them. Let’s connect and be “first in” on a big gain!
